NYC Day 2
Hello all. On Tuesday, again, I didn’t do a whole lot. I wandered around a lot and went to Javits to pick up my badge. Here it is:
I’m so excited! Tomorrow I am meeting up with a group of bloggers for a pre-BEA breakfast and then a very full day of panels and signings. The day will close out with the Harper Collins Book Blogger Appreciation Event. Hopefully after all that I still have enough energy to write up a post!
In the afternoon/evening Amanda, Trisha and I went for some Lebanese food, and then we went to the Books of Wonder Class of 2K10 event which was a lot of fun. Some overlap with authors from the Teen Author Carnival, but also a lot of new ones. I was especially looking forward to Split by Swati Avasthi after reading some great reviews. I also (finally!) picked up Birth Marked by Caragh M. O’Brien, and we found (for half price!) Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan, which I couldn’t pass up.
Besides Split, I also talked to a few other authors whose books aren’t out yet, but which sound interesting. One of those is Under My Skin by Judith Graves. Graves is Canadian, and the book is set in Alberta! Losing Faith by Denise Jaden also sounds like a great one.
And again, a shout out to the amazing bloggers and others, and I had a great time with you all! Can’t wait to see everyone (and more) again tomorrow.

It looks like you might need a second bag for all the books you’re acquiring!
Loved reading the update Amy. I hope you have fun today. And I just had to add, I like the title “Book Bloggers Appreciation Event”.
I love it too Iris! Way tired tonight but hopefully will write up a quick update tomorrow morning
sounds like a busy day amy ,sall the best stu
Thanks Stu, not as busy as today. Phew I’m tired!
Wow! An official press badge?? I’m impressed. I hope you had a blast!
Yes, so cool right literarylollipop! That is what registering for BBC got us!
Loved that badge! It is wonderful that bloggers are treated as press – I am sure you got five-star treatment at the BEA.
Thanks Vishy, it was great having the press badge. The only extra perk was access to the press room, and I have to admit that I didn’t spend much time there! Still, a great time.
