Post Series Idea – Who Makes me Smarter
I know you all really want to know how I became so smart and interesting, right? While parents, family, and education all play a big part I have to be honest and admit that all of you smart people on the interwebz account for a lot of the reasons I can feel as smart and well-connected as I do when talking about various issues. While chatting with a local blogging friend recently (Sarah of A Muslimah Writes) we were talking about how our reading has changed and how we read so much deeper now than we did previously.
I know that I have bloggers to thank for how I read now. I have bloggers to thank for opening my eyes to the myriad complexities and issues in the world around me that are often highlighted in literature, whether consciously or not by the author. And I have bloggers to thank for engaging me and talking out and about a lot of this issues. All of this has helped me to grow and learn – a continual process.
I am considering sharing some of my favourites with you to ensure that you all can gain the brilliance that I’ve learned. Would you be interested?

Of course we’d be interested. Bring it on!
Will do Kathy
sounds like a great idea Amy ,all the best stu
Thanks Stu!
don’t keep the brilliance to yourself – dish, girlfriend!
Heh, ok ok Debbie
Absolutely! You could even make this something of a meme for others to join in if you were so inclined.
Ohhh good point Trisha.
I think you have a hashtag in the making here, Amy! Share away… I always look to you for recommendations on international bloggers.
Wow, thanks Tolmsted. They often find me which makes me really happy.
I love this idea. My first blog was as a librarian and we did a lot more interlinking between blogs than the book blog world seems to do. I would love to see more of that! It can start some really interesting cross-blog conversations.
Oh that’s definitely something I miss sometimes, is the linking around Joy.
A new series and I love the idea. Yes, please.
Thanks Kinna
Excellent idea! Definitely don’t keep the brilliance all to yourself

Thanks Steph!
I think this is a great idea! I can’t wait to read your first post!
I’ll try to do one in Feb Vasilly!
This sounds like a cool idea! I heartily endorse it.
Thanks for the support Kim!
Oh, I think that’s a fantastic idea. Please do this. I feel the same way, by the way. Bloggers have really made my life much fuller in the reading department (and in the online friends department). I’ve really expanded what I read and have become much less judgmental as a reader. I’ve also met amazing people like yourself whose friendship got me through some tough times in the last year. We’ve really grown a lot in the last year, haven’t we?!!
It’s hard not to isn’t it Carin? So less judgemental and yet more judgemental at the same time, if that makes sense. I read wider but more deeply into the books that I do read. Definitely count blogging friends among my very best friends too!
Totally interested! Smart blogs are the best.
I agree Jodie
Adding to the yesses.
I am going to try to make it a monthly series Niranjana. Thanks for the support.
